Mockup License Agreement 

This license agreement outlines the terms under which you may use the mockup files provided by Mockiste. Three license types are available depending on the intended use: Personal, Commercial, and Extended. All licenses are non-exclusive, perpetual, and valid worldwide, unless otherwise stated. 

 

1. Personal / Portfolio License

Use for: Personal, educational, or self-promotional purposes (not client or product-based commercial use).

Allowed: Personal projects, portfolios, and presentations • Organic social media sharing • Paid promotion of your own portfolio or self-promotional work • Only flattened, non-editable images

Not allowed: Client or paid deliverable work • Selling or redistributing files • Using the mockup itself as a product or primary value in paid offerings

Example: Showing design work on your portfolio website or promoting your own work on social media, including boosted posts.


2. Commercial License

Use for: Commercial use by individuals or small businesses (up to 5 employees) for one brand or end client.

Allowed: Client projects, product visuals, ads, and promotions • Paid social media ads and influencer collaborations • Use across digital and print materials • Only flattened, non-editable images

Not allowed: Sharing editable files • Reselling or redistributing mockups as assets • Use across multiple brands or end clients without an extended license

Example: A small business uses the mockup for ads, packaging visuals, website imagery, and promotional materials for one brand


3. Extended License

Use for: Agencies, studios, or businesses requiring broad, ongoing, multi-client, or resale-related use.
Allowed: All commercial uses • Unlimited client projects and campaigns • Products for resale (e.g. templates, merchandise, marketing kits) using flattened mockups only • Unlimited ads, promotions, and prints • Use in apps or software, provided the mockup is not extractable

Not allowed: Reselling or redistributing editable files • Using the assets as standalone or competing mockup products

Example: A design agency uses the mockups across multiple clients, campaigns, international ads, and commercial product kits.

 

General Terms 

Non-Exclusive: Mockups may be licensed to multiple users.

Perpetual: Rights do not expire.

Attribution: Optional, but appreciated. Example: Mockup by Mockiste – mockiste.com"
